There have been numerous times in my life where I have needed the guidance of others. Family and friends are a necessary and appreciated support for all of us however, someone outside of our personal relationships offers new perspective and can be more effective in helping us create change. In those moments, I am thankful that counselors and coaches exist, and I don’t have to go it alone.

We have all built strategies over the years to protect ourselves from things that were too much to handle. These coping strategies served us for years however we may find that now, they are getting in the way of our progression and healthy functioning.

For every one of us there exists deep parts of our person that are often covered by layers of muck. These parts tend to be more difficult for us to access. A goal of therapy is to help reduce the mass of this blind spot, helping people increase awareness of their true selves. Therapy helps in this endeavor through the development of the relationship between the client and clinician where things come to light, feedback can be given, and reality accepted.

I aim to facilitate each person’s process in a way that increases self-awareness, integrates fragmented parts, and reduces self-destructive tendencies.
